Dr. Calvin Audis is a bass trombonist, arranger, and teacher currently residing in Northern Arizona. Dr. Audis has studied trombone with Professor David Vining of Northern Arizona University and with Professor James Decker of Texas Tech University.

Dr. Audis has been extremely active in local music scenes, holding positions in the Prescott POPS Orchestra, the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra (sub), the Verde Valley Sinfonietta, and the Mike Vax All-Star Band. Alongside his permanent positions, Mr. Audis enjoyed a busy freelance schedule around Northern Arizona. He has been fortunate enough to perform professionally in conjunction with Scott Whitfield, Marvin Stamm, Bill Watrous, Mike Vax, Rusty Higgins, Bob Mintzer, Andy Martin, Ryan Haines, Charles Berginc, Jack Peterson, Kim Richmond, Jeff Colella, Jennifer Leitham, Gary Anderson, Toni Tennille, Tony Vacca, Carl Saunders, Reggie Thomas, Gary Hobbs, Bill Tole, Tom “Bones” Malone, and others.

Dr. Audis is the band director at Franklin Phonetic School and serves as adjunct faculty for Yavapai College.
